The thing that truly rocks about award ceremonies is seeing your favourite titles and artists get recognized for their work. What sucks is when something else that’s really popular gets the awards over your cherished love. An example for me would be The Social Network getting best soundtrack over Inception at the Oscars. I reacted similar to the hooligans at the end of Bruno at the arena.

Luckily for us, this year’s BAFTA’s (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) are full of all our favourite titles; proof lies in L.A. Noire and Batman: Arkham City being the 2 most nominated titles. Okay, FIFA 2012 is one of the nominations for ‘Best Game’, but I have no fear that it will actually win.

In all, 48 different games have been nominated including Portal 2, Deus Ex, Skyrim, Skyward Sword and all those other juicy titles that make you realize how good of a year it’s been.
