Test Drive Unlimited 2 was released in February 2011 and right away the complaints started coming in. The game would freeze a lot, the multiplayer would lag like crazy...the list went on and on. Along the way, promises were made and we got the Casino DLC that only added more problems and just other strangeness (bike shops with no bikes?). Finally, Eden Games is listening to the fans and taking some action to fix things.
The DLC and fix won't come until next year, but it's said to give us six new cars, three new motorcycles (Harley Davidson Fatboy Lo, Ducati Diavel Carbon, Ducati Desmosedici RR), and opens up the O.R.C. (Official Racing Center) that will offer three new challenges weekly. It will also provide a new bike dealer, an update for the C.R.C. (Community Racing Center) spot, and a brand clothes shop. We'll also get new sets of clothes and new sets of furniture. Clothes and furniture. Yippee.
The enhancements are probably what most will be excited about. They include headlight control, session management, a tuning update, support for Thrustmaster wheels, support for D-Box devices, a map: Instant Island change, and enhanced force feedback management.
A day (year!) late and a dollar short? Maybe, but it's better than nothing if there's anyone still playing TDU2.
