3. What's In The Future For Positech

QJ: Of course, there is a lot of things to be added with DLC and working on beta's in patches but what is Positech working on next?

Cliffski: GTB is a HUGE HUGE project with a ton of work to do. personally I am 100% working on that, and will be for at least another 6 months, assuming it sells! I'd love to give it the same post release support (58 updates!) that GSB got. I do have a top-secret side project that I am funding, with a new indie developer making a game with positech as publisher.

QJ: With a lot of people talking about funding and browser games, is there any platform you'd really like to work on?

Cliffski: I do really like the iPad. GSB is eventually heading there, and if GTB doesn't kill me, I'm tempted to make a smaller, simpler iPad game afterwards to recover.

QJ: And finally, what do you want Positech to do in the future more than anything?

Cliffski: I would one day like to have a persistent online game. I think I'd really enjoy running it. Right now my to-do list for GTB is so big that I get into a cold sweat just thinking about getting to alpha on it, let alone what comes after GTB.

Thank you so much to Cliffski for doing the interview. You can buy Gratuitous Space Battles right now and Cliffski is hoping to get some word from Steam in the future to get GTB on there, but for now, give the man some money, play some awesome games and we hope to hear more from Cliffski in the future.
