Diablo III Changes Detailed

Diablo III news is getting more than tiring these days, as we occasionally get more news, but no release date. Well this bit of news regards the ‘big changes’ that we were told were happening recently. Well it seems these changes are now in effect in the beta, and we can now look at what the big changes are that we’ve been waiting for.

Primarily, the ‘rune system’ has had the most time devoted to it throughout the changes. The rune system is basically a skill levelling system using skill runes (previously rune stones) that are unlocked as you level up (previously found in the game world). Apparently the previous rune system was not only ‘un-fun, it was a serious and tedious inventory problem’. Thanks for the honesty, Jay Wilson.

Other changes include a completely revised skill panel UI and skill stats have had some changes under the hood.

Great, so now we know a bit more about the game we have no idea when we’re getting.
