Damnit! No SimCity on Consoles |

Sorry folks, but we regret to inform you that SimCity won’t be coming to consoles. Then again, with its troubled PC release, that may be a good thing.
A tweet from the official SimCity Twitter account confirmed that we will not be seeing SimCity on consoles. Well, at least not in the near future. The tweet read: “Sadly, there are no current plans to move SimCity to console.”
Home consoles received SimCity titles in the past in the form of an original port for the SNES, SimCity 64, and SimCity Creator on the Wii. The Nintendo DS also got in on the action with SimCity DS and SimCity Creator.
Whether or not the latest SimCity’s issues have anything to do with its lack of a console future is unknown. The game launched for the PC on Tuesday and was met with tons of criticism for its server issues, leaving many customers in the U.S. out in the cold. SimCity’s launch in the UK has been a lot smoother, but who knows if that will last.
