It looks as if the role-playing title Project Eternity is starting to take shape, as evidenced by the first screenshot released by its developers at Obsidian Entertainment.

The progress on Project Eternity should only get better thanks to its successful Kickstarter campaign.  Set to expire on October 16, the Kickstarter campaign for Project Eternity has gained nearly 62,000 backers and over $3 million in funding at the time of this writing.  That’s quite impressive when you consider that the game’s goal was funding of $1.1 million.

Described as being an isometric party-based PC RPG, Project Eternity is set in a new fantasy world, and that fantasy world is on display in the screenshot released by Obsidian that you see above.  Obsidian noted that while the game is being designed like the developer’s other Infinity Engine titles, it should look even better due to more advanced rendering packages that will allow for more realism when it comes to grass, trees, and more.
