BlizzCon 2011, October 21st, Tournaments and more Diablo 3 Updates

Many a Starcraft 2 Custom Game will be had at BlizzCon 2011 this weekend, with the finals of the Global Starcraft League October due to take place.

Add into this the World of Warcraft tournament and you have an action packed weekend of eSports.

Since Blizzard stopped having such a large showing at Sony E3, it has been the tradition for Blizzcon to contain a wealth of updates for your favorite current (and upcoming) Blizzard Entertainment titles.

Diablo 3 will be the most likely candidate for a good round of updates, as we have not seen a lot recently in terms of its ongoing development.

Other important events over the weekend that could yield some juicy updates include:

Special Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm Live Panel
World of Warcraft Lore Panel
StarCraft II - Blizzard DOTA & Mod Tools
Blizzard Cinematics: Diablo 3 - Making of 'Black Soulstone'

Capping off the huge list of entertainment, the Foo Fighters will be performing live. This was to the dismay of a number of fans on the World of Warcraft forums who were hoping for the Black Eyed Peas (really?).

Thankfully the sane people were in charge of music selection.
