Assassin’s Creed: Revelations DLC Detailed |
Listed in: Genre Tags: ancestors dlc, Ubisoft
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations has been out for about 24 hours, but here we are talking about the game’s first downloadable content pack. The new content, titled “Ancestors,” will drop some time in December and gives you four new characters from which to choose in the game’s multiplayer mode.
Not much of a content pack, if you ask me, but that’s the world in which we live.

Players that elect to buy the DLC will land the Privateer, the Brigand, the Gladiator and the Corsair. Each character has personalized taunts and all-new assassination moves, so if you’re into the AC multiplayer you’ll probably find a lot to love here.
The pack is also reasonably priced at around $4, so it won’t break the bank. You’re basically paying a dollar a character, which is less than a bag of chips or a really awful convenience store hot dog. However, this is one of those weird DLC packs that seems like it could have just been included as unlockable content instead of released as a cash grab – why not just put the characters in the game in the first place?
What do you think? Is this an acceptable form of DLC, or should Ubisoft have included the characters from the get-go?
