Capcom has finally unveiled official packaging art for its hotly anticipated 3DS survival horror title, Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D. It features Chris Redfield and the Executioner.

Scheduled to arrive later this summer, Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D is set to deliver intense Mercenaries gameplay experience on Nintendo's highly coveted 3D enabled handheld. The game will feature re-mastered stages taken from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 in stunning 3D. It will include some brand new modes and legendary Resident Evil characters from past and present to enrich and extend the Mercenaries experience. These  include Chris Redfield, Krauser, Hunk and, making her debut in a Mercenaries game, Claire Redfield.

"While the gameplay will be familiar to those who have previously played Mercenaries, changes have been implemented to take advantage of the new hardware, most notably the transforming the stages and characters to full 3D plus the ability for players to move and shoot and the addition of touch screen functionality to switch weapons on the fly,” notes Capcom in the previous pree release.
