Yuke’s Media Creations (WWE titles, Rumble Roses XX) is currently hard at work on a new project for the PSP, The Dog Happy Life. The screen shots show that you can take photos of your dog, select accessories and change the items of the house. Looking very much like the DS's Nintendogs, minus of course the touchscreen abbilities. If this game wants any chance of success over Nintendogs then the developers better take advantage of the PSP functions, such as allowing you to download new accessories off the internet and let you listen to music off the memory stick in your home.

Thus continues Sony's long tradition of stealing ideas from Nintendo and other game companies. :P

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

you do realize that nintendogs was a horribly unoriginal idea to begin with.....right...they had dog sim games before...like lots of them..

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Nintendogs is different. Unlike others people like it. Nintendo did a good job on it and it was a hit game. It worked beacuse it was "cheap" and "easy to play". I don't know how the PSP can repeat that but it's worth a shot...

I guess...

theres never any ligit info on this site, just trolls trying too start flame wars. ok check it out,
a. everyone steals everything from something
b. who gives a sh*t as long as its good.
Nintendo ripped Nintendogs of from those stupid handheld virtual pets back in the 90's.
If you wanna go into the "ripping off catagorie" nintendo ripped off gaming in general.
And dont say Sony did too because if you dont know this sony is a branch from Atari. They helped make the first Atari. They were called Manfuku inc. which they split apart from atari shortly after it was made and changed the name too Sony, which was short for the owners daughters name Sonya.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Well, there were other hanheld dog sims before Nintendogs, so it is not original at all.

PS2 also had Dog's life which was way better than nintendogs.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Chyeah Right,

Sony was a branch of Nintendo. Nintendo didn't wanna use Discs in the N64, Sony took their Plans and broke off to make the PS1.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SONY
Probably not the prefect source for information, but easily accessible from my Search Engine bar in Firefox...

Oh, and ROTFLMAO at SONY being a shortened version of Sonya.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Sony isn't even developing this... don't hate

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

wow, this is the 1st time i've visited this site (i've heard it's good for ds news) & the first thing i see is bashing? as if nintendogs wasn't a rip-off of other pet sims? garbage. im thinking this should b the last time i come to this site

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Being a rip-off suggests ur 100% copying a format, Although nintendogs is a dog pet sim, I can hardly call it a total ripoff, It has advanced that genre beyond belief, eventhough its a genre u have to appreciate. It wouydl be liek calling virtue fighter series a ripoff of sf2.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

The guy above me is right, Nintendogs isn't a ripoff of anything, its just a new game in a genre, the petsim genre. I never said this PSP game was a ripoff, just the fact that Nintendogs did great, and the PSP is a direct competitor, and now Sony is getting (I didnt say making) a game thats pretty similar, is ironic.

"Sony was a branch of Nintendo. Nintendo didn't wanna use Discs in the N64, Sony took their Plans and broke off to make the PS1."

Wrong, way wrong. Nintendo wanted too use disks on the new GameCube and they made a deal with Sony too make the disks for them. Which then Sony agreed and made millions and millions of disks for Nintendo. Nintendo then told Sony they changed there mind and went with Panasonic, when while f**king Sony over and leaving them with the huge stack of disks they cant even use. Get your sources right and stop believing nintendo fanboy bullsh**t

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Good, the Dogs will actually look real on this one.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Take a good look. The dogs look no better than the ones in Nintendogs and that's just sad (and lazy).
This is a big rip-off of Nintendogs in terms of style, how you customize the furniture. Nintendogs didn't create the genre. But the style is very much Nintendogs. It's the same thing as Apple didn't make mp3 players but there are a lot of ipod copycats out there trying to ape the style of the market leader and the functionality but not getting close thanks to the click-wheel. Nintendogs click wheel is the touch screen and the built-in mic.
This will flop in Japan unfort.

OK, now tell me why Nintendo would want to go to their enemies who had the PS1 up agaisnt the N64 before they even started production on the Gamecube.

ouch

Coming from a kid whos #1 handheld has the capability of N64 graphics but comes out with games like Yoshis Touch & Go, WarioWare, Meteos, Kirby, Trauma Center, Phonex Write, Into The Blue, Spider-Man need I go on?
Shut the hell up.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Heres an idea...get a real dog!!
And stop accusing Sony of ripping this off.
a. Sony is not making the game
b. have you noticed how much it looks and sounds like Nintendogs...thats cause its made from the same people who made Nintendogs
Not Nintendos, the company they worked with, Wannyanmura Inc.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Because Iowota wanted too make a deal with Sony so they were against each other all the time, there first idea was too ask them for disks, but then they changed there mind, and dont say ouch you homo.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

You're all morons.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

Hey anon 349, I own a PSP and a DS and guess what? DS is better, my psp is now only used for lumines, homebrew/roms, and tokobot. So DS is my #1 handheld. And this is a nintendogs rip off. You think its a coincidents that they are just now making a dog sim that looks almost exactly the same. Also graphics are not everything, most of the game you named are much better than the current crop of psp games. I own 5 psp games and 18 DS games, that tells you something.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

to the people talking about the nintendo/sony partnership, you both have it way way wrong. sony teamed up with nintendo BEFORE ps1 and they were gonna make a joint consel. Nintendo backed out and they both went there sepperate ways. bad choice on nintendos part but thats what hapened. maybe YOU should get your facts straight.

by - 0000-00-00 00:00:00

who in there right mind would even play a dog simulator...

rejects

you guys are all *****gots. you think sony MAKES games, dumbasses? they don't actually do anything but make the system and maybe throw out a bestseller once every few years. plus, it's the same *****ing company, douche bags. way i see it, if someone can take an idea and make it better, go ahead. i suppose you could say digital phones ripped off normal phones, too? *****s/

comedy gold

This is a rip off of Nintendogs. You people make me laugh. These types of games have been around since the early 90's. Dogz was a PC which is pretty much what Nintendogs is. Except it's ahell of alot better. You can atleast punish your dog when it's being a tard. As someone else mentioned, obviously the success of Nintendogs has brought this game out. But ripping off Nintendo? Does that mean that Unreal is a rip off of Wolf3D? What about all those platformers that are around? Give me a break, and go and learn your gaming history. (And I do own both a DS and a PSP. I use my PSP alot more than my DS. Hopefully some decent games for DS come out soon otherwise it'll be just as good of an investment as my GameCube)

terrible idea by nintendo in the firstplace

This one will be better, the graphics will be better cause nintendogs, cause of me being a long time owner, I have found the grpahics to be quite bad. So hopefully sony will take a terrible idea by nintendo (yep, forgot that making a doggy game will make the ds better) and make it into a good idea
