Phoenix Wright movie getting international release

Phoenix Wright, the name synonymous with Objections and court dismissals recently had a movie made about him and his trials and tribulations by famous Japanese director Takashi Miike. A lot of people thought the film would not get a release outside it's native Japan. However, we have been proven beautifully wrong with Miike announcing over the weekend that Wright will be getting an international release thanks to a global media frenzy only days after the film's trailer and images went online.

After a screening at International Film Festival Rotterdam Miike said that the film will be released worldwide with region specific dubbing and subbing. The film has a run time of two hours and ten minutes which fits in all the original five cases from the first game as well as the storyline and original characters.

Fans of Miike will know his irreverent style and over-gory sensibilities have been toned down for this fairly family-friendly title but it's Miike's creativity in the past which gets me excited for such a project and hopefully it will turn out awesome.
