I soooo hate nintendo. They do this EVERY time. They release the stupid DS, like 5 months later it drops in price, and then they release new colors, and now, 15 months later, a new DS.

This thing is as sexy as my PSP! God I want one...

A few things I HAVE to say.

1) It looks like a micro iBook
2) WHY THE HELL DID THEY CHANGE THE POWER ADAPTER!
3) Is it just me, or is there NO POWER BUTTON
4) Wierd place for a stylus...
5) Nice place for the Mic and lights!

OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG OMGOMGOMGOMG drool........I knew it! it does have a clear plastic coating on the top, just like the psp. =) that would explain why the mock ups looked so shiney on the front. This is so copied from apples design. Very sexy looking. Finaly no more of that mountin peak from the original DS, but now, we have a smooth front. Thanks god, i bought my original DS USED! didnt waste too much money on it. Feel sorry for those that bought it new though.

im not exactly some body who would know, but doesnt that look kinda fake.. just the picture, kinda like a fanboy got bored?... why does it say slot 2 three times?.. why is the stylus so fat? why did they change the charger port? and where the hell is the power button? maybe the power button and 4-way light intensity are those little nubbies on the sides of the top screen above the speakers...

it just looks weird to me is all im saying

Why is the Nintendo logo backwards on the bottom of this thing?

I think that this is going to be great. I already have two DSs (original silver and Mario Kart red), and I'm definitely going to be interested in getting my hands on this one.

Anyone notice how the screens are pitch black now? The old DS/GBA(frontlit) had a grey screen when off.

Does this mean the new DS will be back lit like the new GBA SP and PSP?

Hopefully!

They haven't changed the volume control... It's a shame, I hate that slider. I prefer exact (+) and (-) buttons...

Some of you are blind. The power is at the side and it is a slide now, instead of a button. People sometimes accidently pressed the power during in game, that's why they moved it. As for the person that said it "looks like ****," obviously we can figure out the level of your intelligence. :/

Adding to my above post. I take back the blind comment. Go to IGN.com for the pictures for where the power slide is. Looks like NDS Updates didn't post it.

I believe the reason this looks fake is because it's just a mock-up of the final thing Nintendo made for FCC approval. That's why the platic doesn't fit together very well and why the back part looks a bit scruffy. The final model should be a bit tidier.

One thing that does annoy me is that they've shortened the GBA slot, the cartridges will stick out of the bottom now.
