DS homebrew - Labyrinth v1.0 |
Listed in: Homebrew Games Tags: labyrinth, schmendrick
Homebrew developer Schmendrick has released a homebrew adaptation of the Labyrinth board game. According to the developer, this adaptation is more faithful to the original compared to the official version for the Nintendo DS.
"Seeing as the official Labyrinth DS game ruins the game for me by messing with the board setup (and adding an unnecessary storyline)," Schmendrick explains, "I created a version that's more true to the original."

The aim in Labyrinth is to reach treasure by moving parts of the labyrinth so you get a new path leading to it. The game itself comes with a 'How to Play' guide that contains more detailed instructions.
Known bugs:
- Screen tends to flicker
- Rotated sprites don't look as good as non-rotated sprites
- AI-controlled players
- Custom board layouts (currently only uses original static board layout)
- More game modes
- Fancy 3D graphics
