MapleStory DS is a handheld adaptation of the massively multiplayer online role playing game MapleStory. It was released in Korea just over a year ago by MapleStory developer Nexon. Since the game never got a release outside Korea, a few fans have made it their mission to come up with a translation aptch.

GBATemp forums member ron975 has compiled a patch of sightlight's English translation project for the game. The dev says most of the dialogue have been translated but it needs a lot of editing and cleaning up. Some of thm probably won't even make sense. Still, it's a step in the right direction, especially for those who are desperate to find a way to play this Korean-only game on their Nintendo DS handhelds.

To install the translation, simply extract all the contents of the archive, run PatchExtract.bat and follow the on-screen instructions. The download doesn;t have a readme, so we'll just add ron975's credits right here: sightlight for translation, TehSkull creating a SVN repo, teh original team led by DarthNemesis for the UI translation and twiztidsinz for the actually Drag-and-Drop xDelta script and image translation.
