Used Nintendo 3DS sales jump up in Japan

Good news: 3DS sales have doubled in Japan! Bad news: the sales are for used 3DS units.

Media Create's data reveal that more 3DS handhelds have been resold by owners. What makes it just a bit less alarming, though, is that they are actually being snatched right back up.

The increase in sales of second-hand unit may be explained by a variety of factors, including which may be the players' interest in participating in the Ambassador program. Said program promises the benefit of giving free games to early adopters before the official price drop becomes implemented.

On the other hand, however, brand new 3DS units experienced a drop in sales after the price drop was announced by Nintendo.

The company is still pretty much struggling to remedy this problem of slow sales for the 3DS, on top of the issue of what appears to be a lack in software. President Satoru Iwata recently divulged their plans of coming out with 3D-less games for the 3DS to fill in the void. According to him, third-party publishers can focus on the unit's other integral features, anyway.

Well, it goes to show you that these Nintendo Dip Shits dont know the fuck about good quality shit.

They're Dip Shits in 3 different Dimensions, get it? 3DS = Dipped in Shit, three types of dips, into 3 types of shits; Cow shit, Fish shit, and Bird Shit; Earth, Water, Air.

The Nintendo 4DS, the fourth dip into shit will be into the fourth element, Fire. They get dipped into the burnt Cow, Fish, and Bird shit.

Yay future Dips in Shits!

:D

Well....I shall be gettin' a 3DS for my kid whos 10 this month purely cause shes a POKEMON freak....and POKEMON will be released here in Japan this month.

Although....I was never gonna pay the FULL 25,000 yen they were asking for it EVER!
But the new 15,000 yen price tag is much more reasonable.

Hum, interesting. This could be taken in so many different directions.

1. The resale of a new item is (usually) not a good sign.

But then again:

2. Nintendo is making a major price change which could spark certain "decisions".

Which could be either:

3. Distaste towards Nintendo for "screwing" it's customers if that's what people want to believe.

4. Wanting to sell the 3DS NOW for more then what they'll pay for after the price drop. Which is valid because any used 3DS you buy now will get all the "goodies" as long as you log in and download something prior to the cutoff date.

Hum, very interesting indeed.
