Nintendo’s “Nintendo Direct” series of livestreams/videos has become the company’s primary method of announcing new games, new consoles and new everythings to the general gaming public. Even if you don’t sit and watch the things yourself, the gaming media picks up important elements of the broadcast and sums them up for your reading pleasure, which means big Nintendo new can and does come up from time to time via the broadcasts.

Tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct event, scheduled for 6am EST (thanks, Japan), may or may not be a big deal. And while it’s unclear what announcements are coming, we do know one thing thanks to Nintendo’s Twitter teasing: Pokémon news is on the way.

It’s likely not a full reveal of a game—Nintendo’s tweet says company president Satoru Iwata will “share a short message” on the topic of Pokémon. But a “short message” could be an announcement with details to follow; perhaps that new 3DS Pokémon title is finally on its way?
