In an interview with GameSpot, THQ's Danny Bilson commented on the publisher's lack of Nintendo 3DS launch titles along with their future on the platform.

" [...] We really have to choose where to play. We don't just all of a sudden have eight launch titles for 3DS, because we couldn't get there. Do we have stuff in the plans for 3DS? Yeah, of course we do. And remember, there's two groups in THQ. There's the kids, family, and casual group that supports a lot of platforms that my group wouldn't be supporting, and I promise you they're supporting more of the moving interface stuff because it's more natural for their games. We can play anywhere, but we just don't want to be de-focused."

THQ has already announced that a new Saints Row title will be heading to 3DS, and when pressed for further details, Bilson said "I can't say much more except see us at E3."

At least they didn't rush a bunch of titles like Ubi.

Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars seems to be their only good launch title (has a 77 on Metacritic).

Pilotwings and Nintendogs have received good review scores. Meanwhile, three of Ubisoft's four launch titles in the US have a Metacritic score of under 70 (Rayman, Asphalt, and Combat of Giants), and Splinter Cell 3D, which launched with the 3DS in Europe, has a 45 on Metacritic.

No, that is not true. All 3DS games have received horrible reviews except for the Street Fighter game.
Also, Nintendo should bring back their 'Seal of Approval.' It would stop a lot of this shovelware from ever hitting the shelves.
You can't just blame one company when all the companies are doing badly.

What's a bad score to you, anything less than a 9? http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/release-date/new-releases/3ds/metascore

7's aren't "horrible" scores. A 7 is a good score.

The "Seal of Quality" didn't actually do anything -- it was a marketing technique to distinguish NES games against the bad Atari 2600 games that crashed the industry. There was a ton of shovelware on the NES.

But they allow bad games to crash their DS console? Dude, look at the amount of crap games on it and then look at the games on the 3DS as a whole. It doesn't matter who makes the games for the 3DS, they are gonna suck.
And because of that, you can't just pick and choose one company to pick on. You need to blame all the are involved. And guess what!
Just because they make bad mobile games doesn't mean their console games are bad!

"Oh, look at me, I play Nintendogs and Resort game on my 3DS!" No one gets excited for those games.

The only ones that are to blame is the individual developers.
Nintendo had PW: Resort and ND+ Cats which are actually really solid games.

Whilst they may not appeal to some, they sure are fun (i'm 26).
Pilot Wings was/is a first class franchise from "95 and I was looking forward to it and it satisfies.

Ubisoft has terrible titles most of the time (looking at you imagine series)

We'd prefer that group also not support the 3DS.
