European fans should be glad to know that they won't have to miss out on Tales of the Abyss 3DS.

Namco Bandai just confirmed that although they may have missed out on sharing this particular fact a few days ago when they announced the game for North America, it will in fact be headed to European shores as well.

Tales-of-the-Abyss

Ngamer reports that the publisher did set a release window for Tales of the Abyss 3DS in the region already, although they're still withholding a particular date of release. The said timeframe is set for "Spring 2011".

Amazon describes the storyline as such:

"Asch is the lost prince of a country torn asunder by prophecy. Cloned and replaced by a new prince, Asch finds himself amongst the ranks of God-Generals, fighting to destroy the very prophecy for peace that his clone will fulfill. War, magic & science clash, but at their heart stands Asch the Bloody."

We should have more details on this in the coming days/weeks/months. Stay tuned.

I hope they don't make it region locked, so people from the U.S. can import it ;-)

I haven't noticed any new 3DS titles since launch, its been very, very quiet. The system just sits on my desk and gathers dust at the moment. I'd happily clean it off to play this though.

That's an interesting description by Amazon...makes it sound like Asch is the main playable character :P
