Super Mario Land boosts 3DS sales |

Nintendo have fallen on hard times in recent months and posted their first financial loss in a very, very long time but things may have turned up a little bit with the actual sales for the 3DS actually doubled in the last week in Japan...you heard right, doubled. As in based on Super Mario Land 3DS, the sales for the handheld jumped exponentially.
Lower down on the list are the very Western games Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3, which did significantly well, especially for the release of BF3 on 360. For those of you who follow Japanese sales charts, you may know about the history of Microsoft's consoles in the land of the rising fun. It is often met with disdain and known as "Batsu Box " but it seems a game or two often turns the sales, both game and consoles around every year.
This has been helped in the past with more RPG's being released on 360, such as Eternal Sonata and the Final Fantasy series. Regardless, congrats to Nintendo for leading with the strong foot, I can bet Zelda's Skyward Sword kicks arse for the rest of the year.
