Square Enix really likes the 3D aspect of Nintendo 3DS.

Despite having only one title for Nintendo 3DS so far, Square Enix has given Nintendo's latest handheld high praise.

"I think 3D without glasses is a win; 3D with glasses is a huge problem. I think the only way to make 3D work in the living room is to remove the need for glasses, and that will lead to wider adoption," said tech director Julien Merceron.

The famed RPG publisher has two Nintendo 3DS games on the way: one is an action RPG, and the other is a Final Fantasy rhythm game.

"I think the 3D on the 3DS is fairly successful. We're starting to see a few games that are really taking good advantage of 3D, and we'll probably start to see 3D on more mobile devices," he continued. "Maybe it's going to then move to slightly larger screens, on tablets, and then slowly move to netbooks and laptops before we get the right technology together to apply it [3D] to really large screens."

According to the Pokemon Company, Nintendo 3DS isn't so easy to develop for.

Games with good 3D I turn up all the way and they rock. Even games with shitty 3D I only barley turn on but even that slight little change is enough to completely change the environment.

You have a point, always comes to the art direction and if the 3D is used correctly to enhance the experience..

Something else to note though...games like OoT I found myself always looking straight. Yet for some reason when driving a car I move my dang head. What's up with that? It's like I'm trying to look around a corner or something. I always break the 3D on games like that.

So that's pretty annoying.

I think all the best nintendo, snes,n intendo gamecube & 64 games should get the 3d overhaul aswell.O.O.T Showed how possible it was to turn an old game into a brand new experiance. Many games can take advantage of this giving them more re-playability etc. When it comes to the nes & snes games super mario bros 3,super mario world battle toads etc would benefit greatly from this.

Regarding the talk of glassesles 3d tv's I hav not seen any in action as of yet but if its good enough to where you don't have to be exactly in the middle to see it right then im sold.Though I really don't have a problem with wearing glasses with a 3d tv and I think the reason some people haven't bought them yet is because they assume that you have to wear the glasses every time you watch the tv forgetting that its an hdtv first just with 3d capabilities.Other than that it would be that the economy is still so messed up that no one feels like shelling out more than 500 for a decent sized 3d tv

i dont think glass free tv will be the win due to the price.i think more the tv with passive real3d types of glass will be better.
lg making some but samsung and sony trying.
with it you can get glases for 10$ and a good screen wont be more expensive than curent one.(purchased one for 300$ for my ps3 (lg 24")
