Red hot 3DS coming to US next month |

So far, the US is limited to enjoying the colors Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black. Said Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, "Nintendo is poised to be on fire for the holidays, with its new suggested retail price, great games and our new Flame Red color. With major upcoming releases in the Star Fox, Pokemon and Mario series, in addition to downloadable offerings from Nintendo eShop, Nintendo Video and Netflix, the system offers new and fun experiences to owners on a daily basis."
The Flame Red model of the 3DS will be shipping out to US shores come September 9th, simultaneous with the release of Star Fox 64 3D. The 3DS has been encountering some major sales problems as of late, coupled with analysts saying that software is too expensive for it.
Japan, known for its insatiable hunger for anything DS, is even experiencing a dip in sales of first-hand units, but an increase in second-hand units, which point to the scenario that consumers are approaching this new hardware with a grain of salt. To try and augment this dip in sales, Nintendo recently announced a massive price drop incoming for the 3DS.
