Pic of Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector's Edition Leaks

A picture of the Aliens: Colonial Marines Collector's Edition has leaked onto French website Gamekyo, and I must say that I'm in. I normally don't bother with collector's editions and their goofy statues and figurines, but this thing just looks awesome. Sega and Gearbox have yet to confirm anything, but if this is real it looks like you'll get the game with exclusive artwork, the statue of an alien dueling with a Marine in a powerloader, and a UCSM dossier - all wrapped in a foldout display box.

In game, you'll get exclusive (or maybe you'll just get them early) multiplayer weapons such as the flamethrower, smart gun, and upgraded pulse rifle. You'll also get an additional game mode called USCM Academy Firing Range.

I must admit, I'm totally geeked for this. Aliens remains my favorite movie of all time and the games heretofore have been hit-and-miss. I actually enjoyed AvP (though the multiplayer was wonky), and hopefully this one will be even better. I'll admit I'm biased but I'm looking forward to Colonial Marines.

Aliens: Colonial Marines is due out this spring.
