Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions out now on the 3DS

Contains a similar perma-save feature that was found on last months Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

According to Wired's GameLife blog Chris Kohler, "Dimensions doesn’t have a high score table. Once you set a new high score, it’s written to the cartridge and all records of your previous high scores are gone forever." He continued: "This deficiency also means you can’t share your cartridge. On that point, I’ve looked all over, even going so far as to ask a Namco Bandai representative, and it doesn’t seem like there’s a way to erase the game data."

Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions is a collection of six new and revamped games from Namco Bandai's most two most iconic franchises. It includes the original Galaga and Pac-Man games, an enhanced version of the latest franchise reboots; Pac-Man Championship Edition and Galaga Legions, as well as two all new adventures designed exclusively for the 3DS; Pac-Man Tilt and Galaga 3D Impact.

Last month, Capcom introduced a sneaky feature on Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D that prevented gamers from resetting their saves, a move that caused quite an uproar from the gaming community.

I don't get it, what's the BFD? There's lots of games where you have no reset feature. Thus the game data stays on there forever. If it bothers you that much then buy new! Clearly people who buy used crap don't care. If you do buy used and care then what's next? Are you going to go around yard sales and start biting peoples heads off for selling stuff with scratches on it?
