Nintendo reveals more on Ambassador Program

Nintendo has revealed more details on the upcoming Ambassador Program for 3DS.

A Nintendo of America representative has confirmed several details for the Ambassador Program. It also seems that this program will be heading to North America at the same time as Japan -- in the past, Nintendo has debuted new system features in Japan months before they came to North America.

The NES and GBA games, of course, will be 2D -- they aren't new additions to the 3D Classics line. Everyone who accesses the eShop before August 10 will be able to download these games for free before they're available to the general public. Some NES games will also get multiplayer support.

"When the NES games become available to the general public later this year, they will include additional features such as multiplayer simultaneous play. Ambassadors will then be able to download those updated version at no cost," said the rep.

The rep wouldn't reveal if there will be future games available for the Ambassador Program, however.

"Beyond this offer, we have nothing more to announce at this time, although the press release does indicate that the NES games will eventually be available for sale to the public."

this is great. you know wat i got a PS3 when it was only like a year old and then they dropped the price and i didnt get shit for it. a year latter or 4 months later it was going to happen and nintendo is actually doing somthing cool for people like me that bought it first day. they could be a dick and not give you anything
