Nintendo 3DS 'Ambassador Program' detailed, GBA for VC confirmed

Nintendo has unveiled an "Ambassador Program" for Nintendo 3DS, along with the confirmation of Gameboy Advance games for Virtual Console.

The following details come from our friends over at GoNintendo:

Be an owner of a 3DS prior to August 10 at 23:59.
Access the Nintendo e-Shop at least once no later than August 10.
Download games from the Famicom and Game Boy Advance 3DS Virtual Console lineup.
Famicom is due to be added to the Virtual Console lineup by the end of the year.
Ambassadors will get access to a lineup of 10 titles in advance, on September 1,
Titles include Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, The Legend of Zelda, and five unspecified titles.
Ten GBA games will be available by the end of the year.
This includes Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart Advance, Metroid Fusion, Made in Wario, Mario vs Donkey Kong, and five unspecified title.
Made available exclusively to Ambassadors.
No plan to sell them in the future as paid releases.
Famicom titles won't have instruction manuals and will not be compatible with simultaneous two player play at first.
Final paid versions will have these features.
Ambassadors can upgrade for free when the final versions are available.
Game Boy Advance VC titles will also lack instruction manuals.
View manuals online.
Game Boy Advance titles will disable the system's Spot Pass and Street Pass features.
Will not be able to transfer them to other 3DS systems once Nintendo makes available software for transferring games between 3DS systems.

There's no details as to when this program will come to North America, if at all. It's definitely nice to see that Gameboy Advance support will be added to Virtual Console.

Nintendo 3DS will see a price cut this August.

they arent charging you anything. you get them for free. and if im correct PS3 did the same thing. but instead of getting good PS2 games you have to get some good PS1 games and mostly crap. and then have to pay for the remakes of them. you know wat nintendo is doing the right thing here but everyone hates on nintendo

actually some information on this is incorrect they are in fact going to be selling these on eshop later on and youll be able to update all those games to a better version for free.
