Miyamoto unhappy how Mario Kart 7 was developed |

Shigeru Miyamoto is a very lucky man. He created the greatest and most well known gaming series, which has spawned over twelve different spin-off series and the seventh iteration of Mario Kart was not apart of the core experience in Miyamoto's eyes.
Miyamoto spoke to Famitsu about the new customisation features which allow players to unlock new parts for their karts in a very NFS and modern car racing vein, whilst he was willing to praise that it can be fun to win money with races and "buy parts", but he was most of all "well against...the customization features" saying it didn't have "much to do with the core fun of the series."
He eventually said that he was convinced as it would be on top of the solid control scheme and gameplay foundation. It'd be good if the features are seperate from the core Arcade style of racing and without having a 3DS, I don't think I'll be finding out any time soon. The big thing here is that Retro Studios, the developers of the Metroid Prime series, are key developers here and had some serious design ideas in the past and they weren't gonna back down now. That being said, this is the third MK game that was not made by Nintendo's in-house dev team.
"Sometimes people yelled at me to look at things more closely", Miyamoto noted in the Famitsu interview, "but like I said, the core of Mario Kart is pretty solid" and he goes on to say how he thinks it's safe and that the basic message here is that Mario Kart is being helped with Nintendo 3DS and that using Street Pass and Wi-Fi the game is really be in it's own racing genre, as it always has been, have you known anyone who has compared the series with the usual racing fare we see?

If this place was in anyway professional, then they wouldnt attack their users with adverts like some greedy kid in a bedroom whose suddenly realised his website had enough visitors to make some money.
