MGS Snake Eater 3D to be delayed?

The software issues continue for the 3DS. After having Mega Man Legends 3 canned by Capcom, the Nintendo handheld is facing another tenuous release, this time in the form of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater.

As reports would have it, a French representative of Konami will not be making its 2011 release window target for the territories of the UK and US. The publisher sent out a statement regarding the launch issues, although not directly addressing or confirming the veracity of said rumor.

"We have not announced MGS 3DS North America shipdate yet," so said Konami. I guess what they're trying to say is, since they have not pegged any particular date, we can't technically call it a "delay".

Just last month, developer Kojima Productions admitted that they had issues making the game fit into the 3DS cartridges. They eventually managed to work their way around that issue, though, with Nintendo granting them access to an exclusive 4GB cartridge specially for MGS: Snake Eater.
