Inafune-san himself made the reveal that their new title, King of Pirates, will be coming to the 3D handheld sometime at a yet unspecified date. King of Pirates, so he explained, will take place in the middle of the ocean, which should only make sense because that is where pirates spend a good deal of their time, "where heroes fight for ambition, justice, and their lives."
Other reports on the game point out that it is actually going to be a trilogy - if all goes well according to plan - and will also feature the now-staple multiplayer mode. To give you a clearer picture of these pirates, Intercept also sent out this teaser trailer.
King of Pirates is slated as of now to come out only to Japan, but that's just for now. They might have word for other territories later on. It will be published by Marvelous AQL, the same guys behind the Harvest Moon franchise.
