Japanese charts: 3DS holds top spot

Marvelous and VanillaWare's latest PSP action RPG Grand Knights History debuts at number one on the software charts.

A lil taste of Grand Knights History

For the fourth week in a row, the Nintendo 3DS was once again the topselling hardware for the week, according to the latest figures from Japanese tracking firm Media Create. Though the sales slipped a bit, the Nintendo's handheld was still able to secure the top spot, with 54,744 units sold, besting the PS3, who managed to move 33,831 units.

Here's Media Create's top 10 hardware sales chart for the week ending September 4th, with last week's sales in parentheses::

On the software side of things, the PSP action RPG Grand Knights History took the top spot as it debuts with 64,630 units sold, placing last week's best selling title, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver., down one spot to number two.
