Ace Attorney is having quite some fun in Japan, what with a film getting released (directed by prolific director Takashi Miike) and the first three games getting HD re-releases on iOS and Android devices in Japan.
Now we find that Ace Attorney 5 has been announced, and we’re all happy. Sadly, all is not roses and the news is topped with the nice little information that the game is a Japan only release (as of yet).
The series is popular over here in the west, but I guess releasing this one over here simultaneously is a business decision that Capcom are apprehensive about. It’s worth noting that Ace Attorney Investigations 2 wasn't released outside of Japan either.
The same news goes for the HD iOS and Android re-releases, so unless you live in Japan or are a fan of imports, you’ll have to be tortured with Japanese gameplay videos for a currently indefinite amount of time.
