All prepped up and ready to accompany the upcoming 3DS Monster Hunter game.
It looks like the rumors are all true. Pictured below is the upcoming add-on attachment for the Nintendo 3DS called the "Kakuchou Slide Pad," or "Expansion Slide Pad," which grips below the hardware, adding an extra bulk and dimension to the recently repriced console.

A closer look at the extra 3DS attachment
According to Andriasang, via Famitsu, the extra attachment could possibly be released just in time for the upcoming 3DS Monster Hunter game. Dubbed as Monster Hunter Tri G, the game is an expanded version of the Wii's Monster Hunter Tri with new control schemes and with local wireless play. The game is slated for release at the end of the year.
The 3DS slide pad expansion and the new Monster Hunter game is expected to be unveiled at next week's Tokyo Game Show. Stay tuned.

I personally think they should've just recalled all the 3DS' and given back a new model with a built-in analog.
Oh well.

This is so stupid. Way to kill your userbase (however small that is), Nintendo!
I have so much to say but sometimes the best response is silence. This is just stupid no matter how you look at it.
Yes, this is confirmed to be real.
Yes, this is first party.
Yes, this is going to be required for many games.
Yes, they are having a version of the 3DS coming out with this built in before Christmas.
This will not help the 3DS's sales. This will not make people happy.

You sure were quiet...
Retard.

If you say silence says a lot, well you would have to say nothing at all... However because you did, your argument is invalid.

You should have chosen that option. It would have made you look less foolish.

I am reminded of my youth in the good old city of Yorkshire where me and my school-chums would frolic and play.

I guess this peripheral would only be for Japan as Monster Hunter is not as popular outside of that country. But if it has a built in battery and cheap for less than $10.00,then I would like to have one.

seriously, when Vita hasn't been announced yet last January, talks about the second analog stick for 3DS is not that too important, but now that Nintendo saw the Vita's dual analog, and its been getting great reviews for it, Nintendo tries to imitate the same by that stupid looking expansion.
there's a reason why Vita never made an appearance on last year's E3 or any major convention last year, and now most of us know why.
