3DS hopping on board Rollercoaster Tycoon next year

It's going to be a new thrill for 3DS gamers as Rollercoaster Tycoon gets confirmed by Atari.

The announcement was confirmed by Nintendo Power magazine in its latest issue, and the game is said to be built exclusively from the ground up for the Nintendo handheld. Other features include:

rollercoaster-tycoon-screen

several coaster design options including suspended, hydraulic, wooden, steel and inverted
other rides such as monorails, prebuilt kiddie rides, carousels and county fair-style attractions
theme parks, ie. haunted houses, etc.
ride construction and park maintenance
hire and manage staff (including janitors, mechanics and more)

And that's just a few of the things that yo'll have to do in maintaining this rollercoaster park. But on top of that, there will also be a Coaster Story mode that will be providing a series of tutorials to help you carry out what needs to be done.

Steering the wheels of the Rollercoaster Tycoon development is n-Space, while Atari takes on publishing duties. It's expected to come out in March of 2012, so you still have enough time to fasten those seatbelts on tight before the ride of your life begins.
