The first Pokemon game for Nintendo's 3D-centric handheld has been announced.
Said to include fast-paced battles, social play features via local wireless connection and 3DS StreetPass feature, and more than 600 Pokemons at your disposal, Pokemon Rumble Blast promises to bring the series battle-based action and adventure in a whole new dimension.
"Pokemon Rumble Blast delivers instant Pokémon gratification," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "The controls are intuitive and simple enough for anyone to pick up and play, while new battle modes, more than 600 Toy Pokemon and social play opportunities offer deep experiences for longtime fans."
The game is a fast-paced action title where players collect and battle their respective pet monsters in real time battles that takes advantage of the 3DS features. The game will include over 600 toy Pokemon, including those from the recently released Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version games.
Last April, a Japanese Pokemon Blog revealed that a new game from the series is in the works. Rumble Blast is slated to arrive on October 24, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
