Developers are now dipping their toes full on into the NGP kit. Trinigy is one of them, and to show off what they've dug up thus far, they've posted this demo video up on YouTube.

So said their note about the demo video: "This video shows a scene creating in the Vision Game Engine running in real time on the NGP. The demo is designed to highlight some of the features that will be available on the NGP version of the game engine." It sure would be exciting to see what they will be able to come up with the NGP in the near future. So far, it looks like they're enjoying getting to know the said technology.

Here are what you will be seeing in the video:

  • NGP-specific shader optimizations.
  • Glare effects and postprocessing.
  • Static and dynamic lighting with volumetric lights.
  • NGP-optimized, multi-threaded architecture.

What are you waiting for? See how the NGP tech shines in this demo. Click on that Play button and enjoy.

There are obvious lighting mode changes when he enters tunnels and emerges. Fix it!

NGP has much more potential than this, we're yet to see NGP with maxed out graphics.

This will be just like the first PSP. First Gen titles will have limited access to CPU and what not. Then they will slowly open up features and provide more system resource access as time goes on. Therefore, graphics will constantly improve as the system ages. That and developers will learn how to use the dev tools better as time goes by.

All I saw were a lot of shitty bump mapped textures...

The battery's gonna burn through your hands with graphics much better than that so better get used to those limitations on 99% of the games. The main thing is the graphics are decent enough and the extra draw distance should make a Hell of a difference to the games on it.

At least the battery will be better than the 3DS's whenever the graphics are pushed to their max on the PSP 2.

reminded me of the 3rd birthday graphics, only a little smoother, but I'm pretty sure they can do much better than that! :P on the first official trailer of the NGP the games looked stunning unlike this one

this video only seems to show the ff effects:

NGP-specific shader optimizations.

Glare effects and postprocessing.

Static and dynamic lighting with volumetric lights.

NGP-optimized, multi-threaded architecture.
