Capcom's long-awaited crossover fighting game is also heading to the PlayStation Vita.

Previously announced as a console only title, Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono has revealed today during Sony's E3 media briefing that upcoming crossover fighting game is also in development for the next gen PSP successor, the PlayStation Vita.
As an added treat, the Vita version of the game will include a PlayStation-exclusive character: Cole MacGrath from the Infamous series.
"In Street Fighter X Tekken, the long awaited dream match-up between the two leaders in the fighting genre becomes a reality," reads the press release. "Street Fighter X Tekken delivers the ultimate tag team battle royale featuring classic characters from each franchise, and one of the most robust character line-ups in fighting game history.
"With the addition of new gameplay mechanics and controls, including tag battles for the first time in a Street Fighter game, the acclaimed fighting action of Super Street Fighter IV has been expanded to suit the needs of both Street Fighter and Tekken players alike."
Street Fighter X Tekken is slated to arrive for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, with a Vita release soon to follow. But if you're a big fan of the Street Fighter series, Capcom will also release The Arcade Edition upgrade for Super Street Fighter IV later this week.
