As you'll see in the video, Steefel explains that there are over 1,500 quests for people to get into through out their adventuring life, ranging from the mundane to the epic. With quests that can take anywhere from 10 minutes to "hours and hours," that certainly means you'll be doing a lot of things to advance your character.
Speaking of advancement, Steefel also explains the nature of deeds, whereby characters can gain additional skills and abilities by performing certain activities or specializing in certain things your class can do. For example, they said, lore masters can acquire a new skill that allows them to summon eagles through the repeated use of their other summoning skills.
