Eve Online is the MMORPG franchise developed by Icelandic firm CCP Games which has gained a sizable following throughout its run, recently peaking at 140,000 subscribers. It has built its popularity on the fact that it's a game that's lovely to look at and very unforgiving at the same time.

This video is the trailer to Eve Online: Revelations 2. As usual, visuals ore of top quality and the narration is right on the money. The trailer portrays the brutal truth that man has shown his true nature as the scourge of the universe along with his technological ascent. Not too far from the truth, eh?

The game puts you in a sci-fi backdrop where you assume the role of a member of one of many factions struggling for control. Users have the ability to acquire and pilot a good number of vehicles to help them establish themselves as members of the galaxy's elite, all the while interacting with a vibrant realm of human and NPC characters. Revelations is the seventh expansion and debuts today via download, just a year after the previous upgrade pack.
