Xfire launches Xstatics |
Ó
As a leading online game matching and tracking service, Xfire now launches a global online gaming tracking program aimed to keep tabs on what gamers play and for how long, over the Xfire service. Conveniently called Xstatics, the program plans to deliver up-to-date monthly statistics on games played and length of online time to gamers, to analysts and journalists.
Xstatics will be tracking actual gameplay statistics for more than 800 PC games, including MMO games (and a PS3 game, too). Statistics are broken down into their respective categories:
- Top 20 Overall
- Massively Multiplayer Online Games
- First Person Shooters
- Strategy Games
- Other Titles
- Bonus Stat
Frederic Descamps, senior director for marketing at Xfire said, "The beauty about these statistics is three-fold. First, these stats cover nearly the entire universe of PC online games being played. Second, the stats are highly accurate because the sample size of 6.5 million gamers is so large. Third, they show how vibrant and active the Xfire gaming community is!"
For the latest top 20 games rated, Blizzard's World of Warcraft is crowned life-dominating king, but here's a little keeper: it isn't the most addicting out there: CCR Inc.'s RF Online gets the hooked players as they stay online the longest every day!
