WoW: the bosses of the Battle of Mount Hyjal - screens and loot |
We're still curious about the World of Warcraft's Battle of Mount Hyjal. Of course, you've seen the video and the screenshots of the first boss, Rage Winterchill. Now we've got some new info on the other bosses courtesy of Sirix and the Impervious Guild from World of Raids.
We've had a preview of Rage Winterchill, now on to the rest of the bosses. Second boss is the dreadlord Anetheron. The dreadlord uses Carrion Swarm (a whopping 6,000 hit with all heals reduced by 75% for 15 seconds), Vampiric Aura (Anetheron gets 300% healing per melee damage tick), Sleep (comes as a wave and lasts 10 seconds and undispellable), and Inferno (summons Infernals that respawn every 30 seconds). There currently aren't any screens of Anetheron but we can hope to get some in the following days.
Next up is Raz'Rogal. He has a very ugly spell called "Mark of Kaz'Rogal", which drains the entire group of 600 mana per five seconds. Players that don't have any more mana detonate - getting resistable damage of 10,000. The spell is a one second cast and casting gets faster as the raid progresses. Other abilities include Thunder Clap and Cleave.
Boss number four is Azgalor the Pit Lord. The encounter needs tuning according to a Blizzard GM who Sirix chatted up with. Azgalor's spells include: Howl of Terror, Doom (to a random target), Cleave, and Rain of Fire (Damage over Time spell that deals 1,500 damage per tick).
Checking out the screenshots, we also see Thrall's spirit wolves running around. We didn't spot any trash but then we really aren't that excited about them, are we? The encounters in Mount Hyjal certainly look promising - but that we mean hardcore difficult. It might get down to Raz'Rogal's mana burn, Azgalor's massive DoT, and Anetheron's Carrion Swarm.
Get those alchemists working. We'll be needing supplies. Lot of 'em. Stay tuned for more World of Warcraft news right here on the WoW QJ blog. In the meantime, check out some more screens for some of the Mount Hyjal loot.
