WoW raiding issues and answers |
Ó
We all know raiding is something important in the World of Warcraft as it gives players the chance to play the end-game instances. Panthro from the WoW forums raised a number of issues regarding raiding since The Burning Crusade.According to him, casual raiding groups are having a hard time getting over the problem of consumables (flasks, elixirs and potions). He noted that some of the raid instances are just too hard for casual raiding groups and require the use of too many consumables. Since casual players rarely have the time to farm for potions and such, it would really defeat the purpose of playing just a couple of nights a week.
Panthro also pointed out that raiding tier gear improvements don't just stack up to the difficulty level of the instances - therefore more consumables. He also raised concerns regarding the keying process (making it hard to fill up positions for the group) and 25 man raids being designed too much for the hardcore raiding teams.
Blizzard guy Tigole answers the concerns. Apparently, devs are discussing some solutions to improve the consumable problem and are "taking another look at the raiding gear". He also answered the keying process does present some difficulties, but then the feeling of "progression and the sense of accomplishment" would be lost "if everyone had instant access to all of the content". Several changes on some raid instances had been made and are being planned including toning down Magtheridon and Gruul.
Panthro also pointed out the lack of tanks and healers - especially since the recent nerfs on bears and the prayer of mending. Well, Tigole had no comments regarding that. Considering all the insanity brought about by the recent patchnotes, we'd probably do the same thing.
