WoW Music Video Contest: winners announced

And as the day draws to a close, Blizzard announced the top three machinima contributors in The Ataris World of Warcraft Music Video Contest. It was previously announced that Blizzard was taking third-party input from the WoW community via voting system, but after a sudden influx of viewers and voters, no one was able to vote or view any trailer at all.

Out of the ten finalists, three were picked. And those three were also notably on top of the list a little while back, although a favorite didn't seem to land even on the third spot. To top it all off, there wasn't any mention of which lucky winner gets what from the bag of prizes either. We guess each one gets the complete swag of goodies, but we could be wrong.

But after all is said and done, we congratulate the following winners for a job well done. Creating machinima videos out of a rather limited song selection requires great creativity and some good talent to boot.

1st place: "Frame of Mind" by Sedrin
2nd place: "The Ataris - Connections Are More Dangerous Than Lies" by Baron Soosdon
3rd place: "Connections Are More Dangerous Than Lies" by Dead Workers Party
