WoW forums: A Tame Mount spell for hunters? |
Listed in: Titles, Opinions & Analysis Tags: Blizzard
There's an interesting discussion that's been rekindled at the World or Warcraft forums dealing with the hunter class, and their pets. As thread starter Palehoof proposed, what if Blizzard implemented a Tame Mount spell, which would allow hunters to tame mounts much in the same way they tamed combat pets? As Palehoof elaborated on the idea:A beast of one of the appropriate riding species and of level 40 or higher would have to be located for taming. Not all beasts of that species will be usable, Beast Lore will have to be used to determine if the creature can hold the weight of the hunter and is of a mindset to be used as a mount.
Upon locating such a beast, the hunter would use Tame Mount in the same fashion as Tame Beast, though perhaps the channel could last somewhat longer, forcing hunters to be a little more sturdy (or a little more crafty) in their taming of a mount. The result of a successfully tamed Mount would be receiving the reins for the beast in your inventory, after which the summoned mount will function normally as a 60% speed increase mount, but retain the model of the tamed beast.
For our part, we like Palehoof's idea - the prospect of opening up the game to a higher degree of customizability sounds cool. The thread readers welcomed the idea as well - all the more that Warlocks and Paladins already have a similar degree of flexibility in their mount selection (Warhorses, skeletal horses, etc.). With that said, we post the same question to the readers - how do you guys feel about WoW's hunter class being able to tame mounts?
