What's the worst designed WoW zone for you?

Stranglethorn Vale, our contender for worst-designed WoW zone - Image 1

The Barrens is long. Shimmering Flats is a giant circle of animal slaughter. Desolace is desolate. Everyone has their own ideas for a really bad zone in World of Warcraft, but how about in terms of how the zone was designed? Which ones do you think deserve to be called the worst designed zones in WoW?

Well, there's a discussion currently ongoing about what makes one zone badly designed, and whether it be the lack of quests in a zone, the relative inaccessibility of the zone, or just the lack of nearby graveyards, there's bound to be one argument there that echoes your sentiments. Heck, even Drysc chimed in with a vote for the Shimmering Flats, saying that the questing in the area was "efficient, but flat."

Personally, as much as we at QJ like Stranglethorn Vale, it's our contender for worst-designed place, if only because it acts as an invisible stopgap for anyone trying to hit level 40. That, and it's a long gauntlet of ganking on PVP servers. How about you?

# Blades Edge in OutlandCenna 2007-08-26 06:00
I fell off a cliff while trying to recover my body in Blades Edge and was unable to do so. Had to put in a ticket and wait until the next day. When I logged in found my spirit in Elwynn Forest. After talking to others I found several people who had experienced the same problem.

Also of annoyance was Blizzards slow response to my situation.
