Now that you can play World of Warcraft with an Xbox 360 controller thanks to Blue Orb's SwitchBlade software solution, how about trying out your console controller on other PC games? You will definitely get that chance, as Blue Orb has announced that SwitchBlade support will be coming for Guild Wars, Hellgate: London, and Half-Life 2 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) on January 29.

Blue Orb's user-experience team is currently fine-tuning the software (called a Blade) to work for the three aforementioned titles. Furthermore, Blue Orb has also upgraded the WoW Blade with new, class-specific templates for a better controller experience.

Aaron Levin, Vice President of Business Development for Blue Orb, had this to say regarding the software:

The WoW Blade launch exceeded even our own expectations," "Its success has only reaffirmed our goal - to provide something that many people have been demanding; the console experience with their PC. It goes beyond just slapping on controller support. Our team creates a finely tuned experience.

If you're interested in trying out the solution for yourself, Blue Orb's SwitchBlade is available for free from a variety of sources: FileFront, FilePlanet, Curse, Xfire and the main site. For more information, feel free to click on the source link below.

Sorry to hear that. :(

Don't worry, though. It'll still be available, just not as a beta. :)
