For this week's offering of the Galactic Showcase in Star Wars Galaxies, LucasArts and SOE picked The Fortress of Memory from players Thran and Andara Kuro of the Order of the Burning Blade.
The place itself can be found on the Intrepid server in Dantooine, Themisium (5848, 6315). It serves as a depository of collection of Thran's art, Jedi artifacts, and the locus of studies of the arcane lore of the Force.
To understand the nature of this place, one must consider that the guild Order of the Burning Blade was established to train new Jedis. Therefore, the fortress is where Thran does scholarly inquiry into the nature of the Force as well as the history of the Jedi Order.
Thran's desk itself is littered with ancient lightsabers and holocrons that make the new Jedis understand clearly their past. There's also a great hall that is home to comfortable seating, fine artworks, Thran's suits of armors word during his travels, and a dejarik board.
The Fortress of Memory also has a grand dining area where the two eat with their closest friends who used to be their Padawans. The Meditation Garden, furthermore, is where Thran retreats to commune with the Force.
The workshop is also a vital place in The Fortress of Memory. This is where Thran makes new lightsabers and trains his apprentices in doing so. It also has several mechanical items which are used during far travels and battles with the dark side.
