Star Wars fans better whip out their lightsabers fast 'cause the enhanced trial for Star Wars Galaxies has officially debuted earlier today.Thanks to LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment, you can now download the full versions of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, and its first expansion, Jump to Lightspeed, absolutely free for up to 14 days. This enhanced trial allows you to become your own favorite Star Wars character and get to explore the vast online galaxy with other Star Wars aficionados.
Available at StarWarsGalaxies.com, you can continue your adventures with the downloadable full version of An Empire Divided and Jump to Lightspeed if you convert your trial account to an active subscription. Not only that, you will also receive the second expansion to Star Wars Galaxies, the Rage of the Wookiees, via a convenient download, as well as an exclusive in-game item for use by one of your characters, at no additional cost.
"Star Wars Galaxies is the only place where players can experience their personal Star Wars adventures twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and downloading our newly-enhanced 14-day trial of the game is the perfect way to jump right in and start playing," says Jason Willig, senior director online for LucasArts.
Apart from this, they also promise that by November, even more content will be available to players when they release Star Wars Galaxies: The Complete Online Adventures. What you can expect from this retail compilation are all the game's expansions, as well as a premium-filled bonus DVD, and behind-the-scenes content.
