Square Enix announces the Vana'diel Collection 2008 for Final Fantasy XI (PC) - Image 1

Here's some good news for the gamers interested in signing up for the Final Fantasy XI MMORPG. Square Enix has sent word that they're preparing the Vana'diel Collection 2008 for FFXI's PC port (also on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2) for release on April 15. Here's a lowdown of what will be in the Windows package (US$ 29.99):

  • Includes all expansion packs including Rise of the Zilart, Chains of Promathia, Treasures of Aht Urhgan, and Wings of the Goddess
  • Includes an exclusive fold-out map of Vana'diel with mini walkthroughs to help new players get started
  • Includes a 30-day free trial, as well as a Vana'diel Buddy Pass to invite a friend to try Final Fantasy XI free for 30 days
As a recap, the Vana'diel Collection 2008 is already out for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 (both US$ 39.99). If you've already got the game, this could make quite a gift for any loved ones you're trying to pull into the world of Vana'diel.
