Nihilum on taking down Illidan in World of Warcraft - Image 1Everyone's been talking about taking down Illidan in World of Warcraft. One of the groups that actually went out there and completed the raid is Nihilum and they recently spoke about the encounter and their thoughts on the matter.

Nihilum's Blood Elf Paladin Nessaj dished some advice for players looking into trying this raid out. First up is the question everyone's been asking,"What's it like to fight and kill Illidan?"

It's a(n) awesome fight, it had a few bugs and all, but they were hot-fixed while we were playing, they even hot-fixed something when we were out getting new pots. But overall, it's the best fight so far in game, we used to like Essence of Souls most, but Illidan is so much more intense, and it needs great coordination and team work, clearly the hardest encounter they've made yet, so much to do in it.

Nessaj then addressed one of the common misconceptions about the raid - it's too "easy". While Nihilum completed the entire thing in a week, he said that it is much more difficult than previous instances. He cited the fact that the TBC is a 25-man instance which makes it simpler. It was easier for them to actually coordinate their efforts and handpick players who would really pull their own weight. In 40-man raids, wipes are more common since coordinating all the players can be difficult.

That said, he gave a few more details on the Illidan and a few more tips. If you're interested in reading more on this, don't hesitate to click on our read link. Be sure to keep checking back here for more updates on World of Warcraft.
