More Guild Wars Sealed Play Info |
You're probably familiar with the sealed play competition in Guild Wars. Yep, that's the kind that involves cards, and random skills to equip your PvP character. Puzzled? Okay, let me explain.
Being the Guild Wars fan that you are, you probably know what PvP tournaments are. And although PvP tourneys are oodles of fun, sometimes people may find it a bit monotonous, so the Guild Wars head honchos decided to give it a bit of a tweaking. This is where the sealed play tournaments come in. In sealed play tourneys, players are given 20 cards that contain random skills. These are the only skills each player is entitled to, so you better make sure you're familiar with all the character skills before you try this out.
However, there are some skills that don't show up in the skill cards, such as the Resurrection Signet, Beast Mastery, Charm Animal, Dagger Mastery, Desperation Strike, and Fox Fangs. Of course, these can still be equipped by simply informing the people in charge.
Wondering how exactly do those skill cards look like? Here's an example:

Skill cards include pretty useful info such as:
- Skill name
- Name of profession that can use that skill
- Name of profession attribute the skill falls under
- Casting cost of skill (if any)
- Adrenaline cost of skill (if any)
- Activation time of skill (if any)
- Recharge time of skill (if any)
- Full text of the skill
- Rarity of the skill
