World of Warcraft - Image 1 Some MMORPGs like World of Warcraft can immerse players so far into their worlds that they stay for an indefinite period of time, and the things you acquire in the game take on a sentimental value just as much as solid objects in the real world.

Players usually attach their sentimentalities to things they've acquired that symbolize a mark of victory in the game, things they can call trophies or badges of honor. Players tend to become packrats with these objects, trying to hold on to them for as long as they can just to show that they beat this boss or they got this item.

In the case of Dearleader in World of Warcraft, it's soulbound items and gear acquired from raids. In the WoW forums he asks if it's possible to get more space to store his items instead of having to vendor them off, arguing his case by stating that once the items are gone, there's no history of them ever having attained it.

Blizzard Poster Bornakk replied to his plea saying that there may be additional changes to characters in the future, although this isn't a solid decision yet. However, he does suggest that there must come a time in every gamer's life when they have to move on. Fair enough considering that if you always keep everything sentimental to you, you'll always be running out of space.

Bornakk also gives practical advice, saying that the Guild Banks will help with storing items in Patch 2.3.
